About the Project
This is a nonprofit initiative dedicated to celebrating the lives of elderly women by exploring the unique beauty of their hands. It is said that a woman’s hands are her second face, with every line telling a story of her journey and destiny. Through this project, we aim to capture and preserve the often invisible stories of life and fate, transforming them into meaningful art.
From January 20, 2025, to March 10, 2025, we invite submissions from participants worldwide. Our goal is to collect hand photographs and brief stories (up to 500 words) from 20 elderly women. The photographs should focus exclusively on their hands in action—engaged in daily tasks such as farming, baking, cooking, weaving, or similar activities. These simple yet profound moments of everyday life will serve as a tribute to grandmothers and older generations, honoring their extraordinary lives through art.
Submission Guidelines
- 1, Submit a focused photograph of the elderly woman’s hands in action (e.g., working, cooking, crafting).
- 2, Photo dimensions: Less than 2000 x 2000 pixels.
- 3, Include a short story (up to 300 words) about her life or identity.
